Where can I get the cheapest clip in hair extensions... I am looking for human hair in 18 inches....

If you want human hair that is of a good quality, it ain't going to be cheap. You're paying for the quality. Buying cheap extensions probably means that they won't last.

Go to a cheap salon or a barber/beauty supply on the "wrong side of the tracks". If yo go somewhere like Sally's, the price wont be a low as a place in the worse part of town.

How do i make clip in hair extensions??? where can i get the products?

um give me the link other than ebay and walmart. or i'm willing to pay fifty dollars.

How do i make clip in hair extensions??? where can i get the products?

go to sally beauty supply or wherever you wish to purchase the hair. then buy some tiny clips close to your natural hair color. you can also get little metal clamps in brown or black at some hair supply stores that you literally clamp right onto your own hair and unbend when you are ready to take them out.

get some all purpose krazy glue or hot glue and bind the very tip of the clump of hair you are working with. after it dries your can put your clip or clamp right on the end and insert onto your own locks. :)

How much should i expect fusion hair extensions to cost?

Well you should expect to spend at least $200-$1000.00 on just the hair, and the reason I give such a wide range on price is because if you are not familiar with the online stores, you might fall into a "WEAVE TRAP" where they jack the prices up for like $150 for 30-50 strands... which is outrageous, even for the quality hair! The best place by far to buy premium hair is from, www.ebonyline.com They are the cheapest and they have the widest variety of hair and supplies for the most affordable prices...

How much should i expect fusion hair extensions to cost?

actually, save yourself the hassel and get these GREAT natural hair extensions that Newsweek is raving about. they are by jessica simpson and look totally natural and take minutes to put on. i personally love them! here is the site: ciaobellahair.com

Does anybody know how to do hair extensions?

i'd still go get them done proffessionnally.......if you want to ofset the cost you can try geting hem done at beauty school where they might charge you less just to get some practice. Hair extentions are also a wee bit dangerous cause if they're not done properly they can burn your hair. i think natural har is the best

Does anybody know how to do hair extensions?

well you have to do it professionally otherwise you might pull the hairs out. ouch!

Does anybody know how to do hair extensions?

I don't know where you are going if someone told you that hair extensions were a thousand dollars...There are extensions that can be glued in all you have to do is buy the hair and try finding a beauty school that works on customers as beginners I have done that and I have also had hair extensions sewed into my own hair and that is great because they stay in until you want them out.. So try and find a store that sells the hair and make sure to ask questions about length obviously if your hair is short and you buy 19 or 21 inches of hair it will look sorta silly lol...Well good luck! :)

P.S If you checked into a salon about hair extensions they are going to charge alot! They have to order the hair for you and that is what costs so much...

Does anybody know how to do hair extensions?

get the clip-on kind. theyre easy to put in and dont cost much. then take the top half of your hair and clip it up with a large hair clip, kinda like the way they do it when you get a layered haircut. then tease (combing your hair towards your roots) the bottom layer to create a base for the extensions, then clip them in. do the same to the upper layers of your hair, until you use all of the extensions. hope this helps!

if your black the best is harlem 125 if your any other race that dont have hair like black people i can only tell you to go to a hair dresser

What are the best kind of hair extensions and how much do they cost?

It depends on the type you get.

First pick human or synthetic. (No real difference these days accept synthetic cannot be dyed)

Then Application technique: whether tracks sewn onto a weave cap/net (not actually sewn into your hair) or sewn into your hair.

this method is typically the cheapest.

Then there is microlinks (metal rings) %26amp; fusion, these are more expensive and fusion is the most expensive. Because the extensions are glued in strand by strand.

Also it depends a little on the stylist and the area. You might want to call around and getting a few prices before you get anything done.

(Of course clip ins are the cheapest but get good ones, not ones from Claire's or something like that. Then they'll stay in very well)

Good luck!

Where can you find LONG 18"+ hair extensions that are Thick and EVEN at the bottoms?

I don't know about online. But if you are anywhere near Tacoma, WA there is the B%26amp;I, but the cheapest and nicests (about 75% cheaper than anyone else) is the warehouse next door to the Grocery Outlet in Lakewood.

But online? I have no idea. Good luck.

yeah

Where can you find LONG 18"+ hair extensions that are Thick and EVEN at the bottoms?

you would have to cut them yourself, because they dont cut them before they put the hair like that so its 'longer' .. so basically it will always be that way on the bottom unless you cut it.

Has anyone tried the "American dream" hair extensions from Sally's?

I was just wondering because there pretty cheap and I'm worried they'll look bad well if you have let me know if they are good or bad and any problems you had.

Has anyone tried the "American dream" hair extensions from Sally's?

Hi hun,

I actually bought some yesterday! They were 16.99 per pack and i bought 2 packs. They seem good quality, I put them in myself, but i've got mid length hair and you could sort of still see it underneath... maybe I should have bought 3 packs. I'm going to get them cut properly today, but I would recommend them.

Hope this helps.

What is the best kind of hair extensions to get and why?

Well if you get it done at a decent hair salon like Lord's and Ladies it cost somewhere around $200 for it to be properly styled and such.

http://www.lordsandladys.com/

What is the best kind of hair extensions to get and why?

best hair extensions would defentily be human hair, even though they are a bit more pricey theyre worth it cause in the end it looks alot more natural and if you get synthetic ones you wont be able to use straightners or curlers on them as they burn.

all the best.

What is the best kind of hair extensions to get and why?

jessica simpson hair do clip in extenstions! I LOVE THEM.

they are actually reasonably priced and i bought 3 different kinds and i have had them for almost 2 years. i totally recommend them because they are very good quality and look REAL. one time i got real extensions and they were terrible and i love the clip on ones way better.. they are also easy to put in and easy to take out

Has anyone heard of Great Lengths Hair Extensions, do you think it will be/is popular?

Yes! On the Fabulous show on VH1, it was on the top forty best inventions.

And according to MTV they are the new chest implants.

I've been thinking about getting them, too.

Has anyone heard of Great Lengths Hair Extensions, do you think it will be/is popular?

Yes Tony %26amp; Guy do them. They are expensive. They have been out a few years. They have a Website you can find a Salon.

Whats the average price of colored hair extensions?

i looking to buy some and i was gonna call up to a few salons, but i was just wonderin about how much are they gonna cost for indavisual ones. im not gonna get them put in at the salon, i know how to do that my self, so all i need is the price. thanks!

Whats the average price of colored hair extensions?

there usually like 20 to 30 dollars at sallys beauty supply

Whats the average price of colored hair extensions?

It depends on if there real hair or acrylic and how many you would buy at one time.

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

You can cut, color, straight iron, and curl extensions made of human hair, but not the synthetic fibers. If you love having different styles for different days here's your cheapest way out and the hair lasts a long time...

Go to Sally's Beauty Supply and see if you can find human hair in a bag. If you can find blonde in the texture of hair that you want (curly, straight, wavy) then you are on your way to having awesome hair.

The longer the hair the better. You can buy human hair in any color, but blonde is the easiest to dye. If you can't find this in Sally's then check ebay. If you don't find a bag of hair you can use a wig or a fall, but a bag of hair or hair already on a weft is perfect.

If you get darker human hair you should either take it to a professional to dye it or if you know how to strip the color out or bleach the hair and then dye it the color you'd like it to be, you can do it yourself if you know what you're doing and have the patience.

For bright cool non traditional colors use Manic Panic on blonde dry hair.

Ebay frequently has great deals on human hair wigs, extensions and falls and I'm going to tell you how to get any look you want the cheapest way....

The fancy clip in extensions that are bought in a package are extremely expensive so what I do is buy the hair on ebay or Sally's and take it to a wig shop. You can find the hair between $20-$100 this way and you can have different looks for a long time if you follow these steps...

If the hair you buy is loose (not made into a wig and in a bag) a wig shop can glue it on something called a weft and you can then have a whole bunch of hair to cut (tell them you want to make these into extensions), place each piece of hair on a weft on clips (I buy little clips at Wal Mart and fasten the extensions under my real hair and no one can tell) and when you want a new look you can dye the hair and style it whatever way you choose.

With this method, you can have many different shades of hair to create highlights or a punk look one day and sophisticated celebrity hair the next. You can also cut the hair to different lengths once the hair is on a weft so if you want to make certain pieces longer, you can. This gives you flexibility instead of being ties to one style with a wig, fall or typical extensions.

The best part is that these are removable and safe for your hair. No gluing or damage to your own hair and the hair lasts. You can shampoo it like your own. Good luck!

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

If it is real human hair yes if it is synthetic hair no .

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

it depends on what they're made of. some are made of human hair and you can do anything you want with them (just like normal hair)

some are plasic and can get frizzeld when you attempt to color them

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

depends what they are made from? real hair yes just be careful not to get the glue too wet....sythentic hair no...it just wont take!

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

You better not mess with your extensions at all, they are to expensive, Take them to a salon

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

no if it is fake

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

If they are human hair, yes. Synthetic, no.

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

Usually those types of extensions are synthetic and they will not accept color.

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

how long had you been in this country? Do you know English?

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

if it is real human hair yes if not im dont think so no !

Can i die my clip-in hair extensions???

It may be unsafe with dying certain types of extentions. Real hair probably but maybe not. Synthetics I would say NO! Go to a salonist!!!!!

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

id like 2 kno as much as u can tell me im thinking about getting them need advice

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

Types of Artificial Hair

Hair extensions are made from human hair, synthetic hair, or a blend of the two. Synthetic fibers include Kanekalon and Toyokalon. Synthetic hair is less expensive than human hair, and is available in a wide array of colors and textures, from natural to over-the-top.

Bulk hair

This refers to hair which is not attached to a weft track. This can be human or synthetic; however, synthetic will tend to be in double lengths with a fold at the top. Bulk hair is frequently used in braiding with extensions, as well as with specialized bonding methods.

Wefts

Most integrations are sold in the form of a weft, often incorrectly called 'tracks'. There is stitching at the top of the weft, holding the hair together, and from there the hair hangs loose. The stitching is either sewn on a machine or made by "hand". The two differs in the stitching. The "hand made" stitch is typically thinner and more delicate, hence more expensive than the machine made. The hair attached to the weft can be human or synthetic hair of any texture, and most any color. The wefts often come in approx. 42 inches (little over 1 meter) and the length of the attached hair varies from approx. 14 inches up to 26 inches. Usually the wefts can be cut into smaller sections without detangling the stitch.

Color, Texture and Quality

Color

Manufacturers of artificial hair use a standard scale to classify the hair by color. The lower the number on the package, generally, the darker the color. 0 usually denotes darkest black.

Texture

Textures of artificial hair vary from bone-straight to super-curly. The exact names of curl patterns vary by brand, and the possibilities of curl patterns with synthetic hair are endless, but some examples of packaged textures include:

Yaki - Bone straight, usually mimicking the straightness of Asian hair.

European - More natural-looking straight hair. May have a tiny amount of wave.

Deep Wave - While generally not a true 'wave', the curl pattern is uniform, can be made to look like spiral curls.

Loose Deep Wave or Romance Wave - Looser version of the deep wave, softer, more romantic curls.

Jheri Curl (sometimes colloquially known as 'nappy tracks') - Usually sold in very short lengths, it is often used to recreate the full 'afro' look.

Wet and Wavy , can be packaged as Spanish Wave or Indian Wave - Usually human hair is used, and is either naturally curly or permanently waved to appear so. Characterized as having soft, natural-looking curls that revert back to a curly state when wet.

Quality

The quality of the hair is often specified.

Virgin hair indicates that the hair hasn't been colored or processed in any way. The "virgin hair" is collected from one person only and comes in a bulk, not in wefts nor in strands.

Remi (=Remy) is a term used when all of the hair is human plus when 'close to' all of the strands (eg. in one weft) are strictly organised with the roots in one direction and the tip to the opposide end. Remi hair in general last much longer than non-remi and tends to stay shiny and "tangle free" longer. This is based on the fact that every strand of hair is biologically keratinized skin cells organized in layers overlapping one another.

Moreover the quality of human hair is graded with capital letters starting with top quality AAAA+.

Methods of Integration

The misnomer of 'tracks' comes from the common, long-lasting method of integrating wefts, known as the 'track and sew' method. The 'tracks' are usually cornrows, braided in the direction of how the hair will fall. Toward the face or away, with or without a part, the tracks build the foundation of how the end result will look. The wefts are then sewn onto the braids, usually with a specially made, blunt-ended needle. The needle can be curved or straight. There are many different colors of specially-made thread to choose from, depending on what color of hair you will be integrating. Darker hair lends to darker thread. It should also be noted that when the hair is braided at a high level of tension, the client is at risk for traction alopecia.

Wefts may also be bonded directly to the clients hair using special bonding glue. Care must be taken not to bond the wefts directly to the scalp, as it can cause sensitivities in some clients. A patch test is frequently recommended, as per manufacturer's directions(MFD).

Infrequently, wefts may be clipped in, with specially made clips sewn to the wefts themselves. This makes for a more temporary style, and is easily removed. Clipped-in wefts may add temporary color, length or fullness perhaps for a single event, such as a prom or wedding.

Bulk hair can also be bonded to the hair, using many different methods: from clips to adhesive.

Shampooing and Styling of Integrations

Shampooing of artificial hair integrations can be as easy as shampooing real hair, with some considerations. For instance, many manufacturers suggest using a mild shampoo, or even a wig shampoo.

The MFD indicates what shampoo to use; the methods of brushing, combing and drying that are most advisable; and what heat setting to use when drying the hair, or if it is even advisable to do so.

Most human hair extensions can be treated as real hair, albeit more gently. Since human hair extensions are usually heavily processed to achieve uniform color and texture, a mild shampoo is recommended, along with a light conditioner to reduce tangling. Cool water is recommended when shampooing, to reduce or prevent matting and excessive tangling. Having to remove snarls and tangles loosens the foundation of the integrations and further damages the hair.

The same care taken when shampooing must also be used when styling artificial hair. It's often recommended that the texture of hair purchased should be the style in which the hair is worn. Using heat to straighten curly hair, or to curl straight hair, damages it. The more damage the hair sustains, the shorter the lifespan of the artificial hair.

Synthetic hair, and blends of synthetic hair and human hair, should be treated extremely gently, when it comes to heat styling. Many times it is completely inadvisable. Depending on the type of synthetic fiber, heat processing is possible at an extremely low heat. However, most synthetics will melt, burn or warp when subjected to the heat of a curling iron, flat iron, or blow-dryer. Some companies do manufacture more resistant, human-like hair that can be heat processed.

Removal Methods

Sewn-in integrations must be removed by cutting the thread that attaches it to the cornrow. Care must be taken to snip only the thread, and not the client's hair. Care must also be taken not to leave the wefts sewn in for so long as to cause the hair to mat around the thread.

Bonded integrations are removable based upon the method of bonding. Bonded wefts can be removed with special bonding-glue removers, allowing the remover to penetrate and break down the latex in the glue. Usually these removers have a high content of oil, dissolving adhesive, so a less-expensive alternative can be baby oil.

Some bonded integrations can be shampooed out, depending on the strength of the adhesive, though it's less common, being that the integrations don't last very long.

Bulk hair that has been bonded with clips or beads of adhesive should generally be removed by the same technician that attached them, or someone similarly trained.

Simply 'pulling out' bonded integrations can result in damage to the underlying natural hair, even alopecia

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

it was real hair at one time

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

they are very expensive, hurt to have put in, start to itch and are annoying after a while.....

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

Get hair fusions, they dont stick to your scalp, they stick to your hair, they are thin and natural looking

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

They are gorgeous while you have them in, but they are painful at first!

They also can harm your natural hair, because they add weight to the roots.

I had them for about 3 months, and while I loved the look, they did do damage to my hair.

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

I am hair weave queen....first, you need someone who knows what they are doing....even if you had long hair and wanted to just add color, get someone who knows how to sew in hair...it can be pricey, but worth it...my sister is a stylist, and would love to talk with you about what would be best, and what to watch out for...email me!

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

there are a few ways that you can do this.

1. fusion. this is a technique that is done in a salon where little strands of hair are melding to small parts of you own hair. it takes about 3 hours to get done. cost ranges from 1500-2000. plus cut, and color if you want.

2. tracks. you go to a place that sells hair, find a color you want and pieces are either sewn to corn rows, or glued in with a special glue. (i usually do the glue)

p.s. if you can find a cosmetology school that does services there, i would recommend that you go there, bc it's a very basic skill and its alot cheaper

3. clip in.

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

some can be sewn and you can have them colored too. that's all I know.

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

well for starers theres all kind of hair extenstions

What can u tell me about hair extensions???

I really don't know much about them. I have heard their are expensive. For those that have shorter hair and want to add longer strands to give a more fuller longer look

Is there a way to make hair extensions stay in stronger and longer?

i tried the clips, but it always gets loose by the end of the day and feels like it's going to fall out. i never tried the glue, but i don't know, it looks complicated. is there an easier way to keep them in and make then stick strong? and stable?

Is there a way to make hair extensions stay in stronger and longer?

Clip-in ones are just meant to wear for the day. If you backcomb just a little bit where the clip goes and give it a shot of hairspray (where you backcombed) before you clip it shut, that should help it to hold better through the day for you. If you really want something that will hold up, the best would be strand by strand fusion with human hair. It's not glued in. IMHO, glued in ones are a bit messy and don't hold up as well as the strand fusion method. That would be your strongest and most stable method. They will last 3-4 months with proper home care.

Is there a way to make hair extensions stay in stronger and longer?

put sum pump it up on it or sum blk jell

Is there a way to make hair extensions stay in stronger and longer?

u could try sewing them in. i would recommend a stylist that knows about the hair bonding process or maybe fusion. bonding tracks in last longer, but takes time to wash glue out. sewing tracks in may take longer to put in but if the stylist is really good, you won't mind the wait.

I want to know where can i get hair extensions or voluminising spray to add volume for my thin hair?

Seriously, the best product for thin hair is not in a spray but in a little purple pump bottle. Put a bit of TiGi BedHead's Small Talk in your hair while its damp and blow dry. It smells great, leaves your hair feeling very soft and conditioned and your hair is REALLY pumped up afterwards. If you want a hair weave, go to any decent salon and they can hook you up... but the process of them sewing it in takes a long time and the braids underneath can be so tight they actually rip your hair out. The "fusion" extensions always end up looking piece-y and ridiculous. Glued in extensions can loosen up if you sweat a lot and they dont last past 2 washes... The best thing is to try to work w/ your own hair, or go to a qualified person for a nicely done sewn in weave.

Has Anyone Ever Tried Jessica Simpson Hair Extensions?

no, but i saw something about them (i watch alot of vh1). jessica's hairstylist guy put the extensions on one of jessicas friends, it looked natural and really pretty..

What are the best kinds of hair extensions?

Glue in, Sew in, or Bead Locks?

What are the best kinds of hair extensions?

um bonded fusion ones are the best right?

or clamped ones but are very expensive,

i know that glue in totally destroys your hair, stay away from it

sew in is ok but after a few days the thread on your scalp starts to stink and smell like head or sweat , or it may start to itch badly when you sweat , bead locks? thats totally diff from other two right?

anyways the best of the three is sew in if u can take the itch

What are the best kinds of hair extensions?

I think sew in...I hate feeling like there is something bonded to my head...also you do not want the extensionsto be really shiny!! They look really fake then...the best professional tip is to use a little baby powder on them to give a little less luster. Good luck!!

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

Go to a professional and don't risk making your hair fall out

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

cut them right below where your real hair start's then start twisting them out with your finger's

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

there is stuff you buy at a hair store that will dissolve the glue used...some are able to use hair grease

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

if it was glued in then there is a product which you can buy which will remove the glue. If it is thread, then ask a friend to help you cut it. But they must be patient.

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

Try spraying oil sheen on it, you gotta let it sit on the weave for a few minutes before pulling them out. I hate glued in weaves too messy for me.

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

Try using some Just for me- braid releaser. If that dont work try using different kinds of moisturizers. They sell them for really cheap. But please don't use wd40 that will kill your hair!!!!!!!!

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

go to a stylist but don't use what you are using it will kill your hair

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

You have to heat up the mineral oil with the blowdryer and pull out.

What do I use to take hair extensions out? I tried mineral oil, WD40 and acetone.?

you should probably go to a stylist but if you dont want to do that go to sallys and get some oil sheen or johoba oil. if it is the single strand hair bonding ones do not attempt this go to a stylist they have a tendency to break the hair if it is the track glue in then i would if you need them out in a hurry olive oil works also you could also try goo gone it can be found at art supply stores and grocery stores

Is it costly to get hair extensions?

Yes it does cost a bit of $$, but if you want a nice job so it will look natural u best believe you're gonna pay some $$ for it

Is it costly to get hair extensions?

it depends on the type of hair and how much of an extension you want.

Is it costly to get hair extensions?

for a good natural one- YES!

i think its worth paying good money if your gonna do it so u dont look like the rest of these chicks with bad weave jobs.

Is it costly to get hair extensions?

yes, not to mention trashy

Is it costly to get hair extensions?

The cost varies from shop to shop

Is it costly to get hair extensions?

This would depend on what kind of extensions, the kind of hair, and who does it.

I want to buy clip in hair extensions that are at least 16" or more but under $40?

please give me website and please no ebay

I want to buy clip in hair extensions that are at least 16" or more but under $40?

any good hair extensions should be made of 100% human hair. it is unlikely that you will find good ones for that price, but think of them as an investment. you can reuse them, you can color them as much as you want(as long as there 100%human hair), you and do any thermal alterations you like to them, so it is a good idea to shop around and see who has the best prices. you can also check out any hair schools and see if they are any cheaper or if you know someone in the hair industry you can ask them to take you to the distributors and get an even better deal. hope this helps!

I want to buy clip in hair extensions that are at least 16" or more but under $40?

WALMART!!

I want to buy clip in hair extensions that are at least 16" or more but under $40?

just go to any beauty supply store...and if you want it under $40 it all depends if you want synthetic or human hair....human hair is more expensive and synthetic is less expensive...also some beauty supply stores dont sale a certain inch of hair so they might have to order it for you. Oh and the longer the hair you want the more expensive it'll be.

I want to buy clip in hair extensions that are at least 16" or more but under $40?

good luck! cheapest ive ever paid was $100 and that is at cost

I want to buy clip in hair extensions that are at least 16" or more but under $40?

befriend a hair stylist and then get a discount!

I want to buy clip in hair extensions that are at least 16" or more but under $40?

go to a horse farm and cut the hair and dye it yourself or have all your girlfriends over and cut their hair in their sleep.

I want to buy clip in hair extensions that are at least 16" or more but under $40?

I don't know if they even make clip in extensions for under $40... If they do, they are not going to be very nice. They will definitely be synthetic not real hair and you will probably be able to tell too. Spend the extra cash and get some good ones. They will look so much better with your hair and will last much longer. Plus, if you get real hair they can be colored, permed, etc. So if you change your hair you can change them too. Raquel Welch makes the best ones. Here is the link to them: http://www.hairuwear.com/rw.aspx?pgID=97...

Good luck!

Where is the best place to buy Hair extensions (real hair) online in the uk?

I bought synthetic dreads from www.1stophair.com

They were pretty good value for money and I'm assuming they do normal hair extensions-not sure if they do real hair.

I bought the Jessica Simpson extensions (not online)

They're really good because its all on one head piece but layered (hard to explain!).

Anyway they're really easy to put in and look great although are not real hair. Real hair is just so expensive and can damage more easily.

What do i use on my hair extensions to keep them soft and beautiful....?

Never had them, never will. I like my natural hair.

What do i use on my hair extensions to keep them soft and beautiful....?

you dont use hair extensions, hehe, y need them? if your hair is beautifuls, ask any 15 year old guy like me, thats not hot

What do i use on my hair extensions to keep them soft and beautiful....?

go to sallys and they have this GREAT shampoo just for hair extensions. im not sure what its called but it sets with all the hair and stuff

What do i use on my hair extensions to keep them soft and beautiful....?

I閳ユ獡 not sure how the extensions in question are attached, or what the hair type is, but I閳ユ獟l provide some general information. If they閳ユ獧e human hair extensions, wash them with an oil-free, non conditioning shampoo, use a soft bristle brush and brush your hair from the bottom and gently work your way up (avoid tugging), braid your hair up at night, and never go to sleep while your hair is wet. I recommend applying a little of John Frida閳ユ獨 frizz ease (regular strength) after shampooing to keep the extensions sleek and shiny.

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

Hi,

Do not swim in your clip-in hair extensions. Carefull treatment is essential to extending the wearlife and beauty of your clip-in

extensions.

Phillipa

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

you sure can...but be aware that chlorine is damaging to extensions especially when it's not getting oil from your scalp like real hair. You may want to spray conditioning spray on them afterwards

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

yes you can but your extensions may become dry and a change of color will occur so i wouldnt recommend it

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

YoU cAn dO aNyThIng YoU wAnT iF yOu BeLiEVe!!!!!!!

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

You can, it wont damage the hair extensions terribly. Yet it could fall out and be a very embarrising matter!

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

That's a no. The current you generate by swimming might make them come out, which adds the risk of them getting stuck in the pool drain, making them useless. What's more, as you get better at swimming, this risk elevates!

If you want to maintain the illusion of the extensions being your real hair, discreetly begin using a swimming cap and say "It's so I can be more hydrodynamic", which is true.

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

You could, but I would not recommend it. The extensions can become nappy, dry, and if the water have chlorine in it your extensions may change colors. If you want to wear it though just get a swimmers cap and cover all your hair.

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

If you felt you must then sure why not, but i'm sure swmming in water would be far easier.

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

Possibly but I think you'll find it much easier in water.

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

yes if you dont get your hair wet, otherwise it may just drop out.

Can i swim in clip-in hair extensions?

Yes you can. The extension can come off though. Most extension manufactures will say not to use a swim cap as they can pull on the hair. They are thinking about the thin racing style latex caps which do pull. You can try a swim band worn under a swim cap. Its about the most waterproof way to keep hair dry. Be carefull and take your time slipping on the swim band. A silicon swim band works best as they dont drag when you put it on with you hair up. The air bubble style swim caps with the strap work best over the swim band. They also come in head sizes for a good fit or try a retro flower cap which can be fun.Theres lots of different caps out there.Or you can do things like making a scarf headcover to go over a swimcap. See the page about making a swim band . If the link does not work search swim band on Yahoo search

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

also, about how much do each cost?

I want like 18 inches.

wouldnt the clip ins fall out easily?

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

Clip in hair extensions are great as you can put them in and out of the hair as and when you need them. They don't do damage to the hair and scalp.

Clip in extensions are secure in the hair when put in correctly, and cost from as little as 鎷?0.00 for 1 layer thickness to 鎷?9.99 for a 3 layer thickness

They can be bought in all different thicknesses,

1 layer thickness is for making the hair thicker not longer

2 layer thickness is for making the hair thicker and longer on fine heads of hair

3 layer thickness is for making the hair longer

The best quality hair that you can buy is remy hair. You can style it wash it and condition it just as you would your own hair.

Glued or bonded extensions stay in the hair for 3 - 4 months then have to be removed. They can do damage to the hair and scalp. Glued/bonded extensions can cost from 鎷?50.00-鎷?00.00 depending on where you go to have them put in.

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

My friend is getting some at Regis for $10 a piece.

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

CLIPS.

Glue in ones are a ******' pain to take off!

oh+ don't get synthethic hair (even though it's cheaper)

it gets tangled so easily.

get real hair clip-on extension.

18 inches would be.. around 30-50 dollars.

Could be more, but it's worth it.

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

clip! glue gets so itchy and it'll fall out once you start itching at your scalp!haha

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

I've heard the glue-in extensions are great until you have to take them out.

I've heard that they hurt REALLY bad to take out, and sometimes take some of your real hair with it.

I would think that clip-in's would fall out though too.

But they sound alot less painful.

But if pain isn't a problem for you, I'd go with glue-in.

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

Clip in's are fun, easy, versatile and easy to put in/take out. The way to hide clip in's, to ensure they don't show, is to simply hide them under your hair. With horizontal partings, you simply clip in under the part. Your natural hair will fall over top of the clip, and no one will ever see it or know it's there. Just don't add to many to the top of your head or near your hairline around your face %26amp; ears.

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

First i must ask you how long your planing on keeping the extensions in for...if for like a week...then you wanna go for the glue. but for long term...or like to have to change up your look every now and then you would wanna get the clip ins...and they go for about $30 and up per piece...check out www.hisandher.com they are a big hair manufactor out in LA with pretty good products...if anymore questions on up keep hit me on my email...i do extensions all the time.

Clip in or glue in hair extensions?

clips are the best way to go.

and no they wont fall out easily.

I BOUGHT STRAIGHT SILKY SMOOTH HAIR EXTENSIONS AS SOON AS i WASHED THEM THEY WENT FRIZZY WHY??????

gEEZ iM MAD

I BOUGHT STRAIGHT SILKY SMOOTH HAIR EXTENSIONS AS SOON AS i WASHED THEM THEY WENT FRIZZY WHY??????

Mine did the same thing, I just flat ironed them after they dried and they were good. I couldn't figure out a way to avoid it so, I just tried to avoid washing too often (like every other day as opposed to daily)

I BOUGHT STRAIGHT SILKY SMOOTH HAIR EXTENSIONS AS SOON AS i WASHED THEM THEY WENT FRIZZY WHY??????

You prob washed them in water that was too hot and/or the extensions were poor quality.

I BOUGHT STRAIGHT SILKY SMOOTH HAIR EXTENSIONS AS SOON AS i WASHED THEM THEY WENT FRIZZY WHY??????

if they weren't real human hair, they are probably poor quality.

I BOUGHT STRAIGHT SILKY SMOOTH HAIR EXTENSIONS AS SOON AS i WASHED THEM THEY WENT FRIZZY WHY??????

Were they human hair extensions? If so, then you can just flat iron those and they'll snap back into straightness. If not, then you should coat them with a light conditioner and then towel dry them.

But if they aren't really good quality, then they probably aren't worth all of the effort.

I BOUGHT STRAIGHT SILKY SMOOTH HAIR EXTENSIONS AS SOON AS i WASHED THEM THEY WENT FRIZZY WHY??????

Most likely, the extensions were either synthetic or very bad quality. What brand was it? Also, silky hair tends to be more stringy and soft than if you were to buy 100% human yaky hair. But yaky is mostly recommended if your hair is coarse or thick. If your hair is thin and/or stringy, then I suggest silky straight....but a good quality and make sure it is 100% human hair.

I have bought some clip-in hair extensions, can anyone give tips on how to put them in myself.?

Make an ear to ear parting and clip the rest up. Center the longest one on the part, if you are having trouble getting them to stay in because your hair is fine, then tease the area were the clip will go and hairspray right before you put the clip on. the smaller ones go and the sides. For this you part the hair diagonally, temple to the top of the ear. don't place them anymore less then an inch away from the hair line.

I have bought some clip-in hair extensions, can anyone give tips on how to put them in myself.?

Whoa! Get someone to do it for you, you will not hear the end of it if the clips are showing or they are in wrong.

I have bought some clip-in hair extensions, can anyone give tips on how to put them in myself.?

it's way to hard to on yourself, although it is not cheap, the outcome will be beautiful.

Do you think braiding your own hair without using the hair extensions will be less damaging?

well, either way, you are pulling the hair tight so its probably the same amount of damage.

if you get micros, you are pulling the hair, making it weak.

if you braid your own hair, you are pulling the hair making it weak.

the way that extensions damage your real hair is when you have them glued in or even sometimes the sew in kind can cause damage too. it has nothing to do with braids.

Do you think braiding your own hair without using the hair extensions will be less damaging?

Well...

Getting the extra hair will add more weight and stress on the roots of your hair. The tight braids already do that enough, and more hair would make it heavier, so it would pull more.

Getting braids grows your hair out faster, but with the extra stress, it becomes more damaged.

So I'd get the braids without the extra hair.

Also, unless you're getting micros, adding hair to braids looks tacky.

Do you think braiding your own hair without using the hair extensions will be less damaging?

definitley!! do whatever feels comfortable!!

What do you know about hair extensions?

Facts only please not speculation. Have you ever had them and what were they like any bad points

What do you know about hair extensions?

Here are the facts or hair extensions. No matter what people tell you they will damage your hair at least a little bit. I used to work in a salon and the best hair extensions I have seen are the Eurolocks. Instead of using glue they use cooper clasps. This way they can be removed a lot easier with less stress on the scalp and folicals. I must warn you though...they are very expensive. Think around $2,000.They last for about two months. Then you have to go back in get them taken out and if you want to do a shorter style you can use them one more time. One other thing to know about them is that when you are washing your hair you can only condition the middle and tips of your hair. You CAN NOT conditon the roots as this will make the extension soggy. Also they are good because you dye your hair first then you match the extensions to your hair by rolling and blending many colors. That's about it. Happy extension hunting.

What do you know about hair extensions?

i dunno

What do you know about hair extensions?

I hated them they broke my hair off to bad so I just grew my hair out and delt with the real stuff

What do you know about hair extensions?

Whoever posted 'I dunno' is a f*ckwit.

I'd say don't get them. Common facts -

They stop your hair from growing.

The excessive straightning which will be needed damages your natural hair.

The glue which you may use is hell to get out.

Darker coloured extensions tend to be more expensive.

What do you know about hair extensions?

If your going to get extensions, do it once and do it right.

What do you know about hair extensions?

They itch. After a while they begin to smell. There is no way to match the natural color of your hair.

It's hard to get your hair back to a normal condition after wearing the extensions for so long.

What do you know about hair extensions?

They look fake.. and they severely damage your own hair. You realize they GLUE them to your head?? Glue?? Ick. Be patient and grow your own hair out.

What do you know about hair extensions?

i have had them when i was going somewhere special. one method is your hair is braided and they sew in the extensions. which is much better cause the only worse thing that happens to your hair is that it gets dirty when braided for a long time. after i was done with them, i snipped the thread, undid my hair and just washed it. no damages, no hair pulling and no hair loss

What do you know about hair extensions?

This question is too broad. Be specific about your question. I will give a GENERAL overview. In my professional opinion most people are clueless of how expensive, time consuming and how much extra care most hair extensions require. I work with them and have worn them. If your hair is thin, certain types work better. If your hair is shorter but thick others work better. Do you want to be able to put your hair back? If you e-mail me directly I can give you more specific info as it pertains to you. Best of luck.

What do you know about hair extensions?

It really depends on the type of extenstions you get and your grade of hair and its condition. By grade I mean hair type : fine, coarse... And condition refers to whether its healthy or damaged. Its best to have a consulation with a licensed stylist who specializes in extentions bc many of the answers you've recieved are right and wrong.

Glue is ok for short term extensions : for special occasions or going out. Wearing them long term won't damage your hair tho, the damage comes when trying to remove the glue. Its very tricky and you must have patience.

Sew in extensions are the best way to go for most people. But if your hair is damaged and you have long extensions the weight will pull on your natural hair causing breakage.

It is very easy to match your hair color. You get what you pay for so pay a little more and you will get a superb product. Remember any hair dresser can put in extentions but can she apply them well AND color / cut them so the look is natural.

Lighter extension colors are more expensive because most donors (mostly chinese and indian) have dark hair which must be lifted. Lifting involves first bleaching the hair and then applying the desired color. If you apply ash blond dye on top of black hair you will never get ash blond which is why it must be bleached first. This is time consuming and costly thus the lighter the hair the more expensive it is.

Also any extensions ( glue, sew ins, clip, metal clasp) will get damaged or tangled or get matted if you don't take proper care of them. You can't jump in a pool, or shampoo your hair and just let it air dry. It will be a tangled mess. Be gentle detangle and handle carefully.

I hope this answers your questions and squashes some of the myths surrounding hair extensions

Is there a way to make hair extensions stay in stronger and longer?

u could try sewing them in. i would recommend a stylist that knows about the hair bonding process or maybe fusion. bonding tracks in last longer, but takes time to wash glue out. sewing tracks in may take longer to put in but if the stylist is really good, you won't mind the wait.

j,

I want to remove my hair extensions, they are glued in, whats the best way?

Don't try to do this yourself, let a professional do it for you. The best person to take them out would be the one who put them on you in the first place.

I want to remove my hair extensions, they are glued in, whats the best way?

youre not going to like this answer... but maybe you could SHAVE IT ALL OFF?

good for you, next time keep your natural hair..(just a joke)

I want to remove my hair extensions, they are glued in, whats the best way?

Nail varnish remover

I want to remove my hair extensions, they are glued in, whats the best way?

Get a hair glue remover

I want to remove my hair extensions, they are glued in, whats the best way?

Mine are glued in too and when I want them removed I rub loads of shampoo into my hair and find some are already coming out, then I rub in conditioner and the rest come out, this does hurt a bit but you get used to it.

I want to remove my hair extensions, they are glued in, whats the best way?

Saturate you hair in a mixture of oil (like olive oil) and water. Let it sit for a while (like 20 minutes) and the tracks should just slide right out with a little tug. If a track appears to be a bit difficult, just apply more oil and work it out with your fingers.

I want to remove my hair extensions, they are glued in, whats the best way?

you should go back to the professional to have them take it out, but you can buy some glue remover from sallys, walmart, or any beauty supply store. place the glue remover on under the weft track hair and let it sit a minute or two then gently pull up the track. good luck!

Is it possible to get hair extensions only in the back?

I dont want them to be too obvious..

Is it possible to get hair extensions only in the back?

Yeah.... You can also get them closer to the hairline, just with a little of your natural hair in the front to cover the tracks they will use...

The BEST hair extensions are the ones that are not sewn in.. You can virtually get these anywhere on the hair (front or back) without anyone ever noticing and they last 6 months!!!! OMG. These extensions are used with a bonding tool that bonds the "Faux" hair just above the root of your hair, giving it freeflowing length without worrying whether anyone knows... Ask your hairstylist about it....
