my daughter once told me that showering in hot water will make the extensions to just fall off... i think she has friends that got those and there were told not to wash them in hot water or the glue will melt.. good luck!

Depends if they sewed them in... a good friend and scissors, glued them in... there's a special shampoo that will unbond the glue (most chinese hair supply stores or leave conditioner on the bond for 3 minutes), taped them in... a good friend and maybe scissors (not too familiar with the tape method, but I know it's out there lol), good luck

Depends on the method:
Sewn in- a good friend and a pair of scissors
Latex Bonding - baby oil, almost anything oily
Fusion - most of the fusion stuff comes off with acetone but you probably don't want to do that yourself. It can really kill your hair.
Liquid Gold - Buy the remover
Check out your local beauty supply store, they should have removers for most types of extensions.
Always condition bigtime after you take your extensions out. good luck!
