At a salon the extensionist can match the color exactly. No matter how short your hair is they should not look fake. The only way they will look fake is if the extensionist does not blend them and your natural hair. The hair extensions should not hurt if it does the extensionist is doing something wrong. On question 3 it depends on what method you get. The easiest methods are micro rings and clip in. But all methods should come out easy and with out a trace that they were there.

They can match it to the exact color of your hair. If your hair is short then most the time you can tell its fake. Not to mention the people around you everyday are going to see your hair grew overnight and know its not yours. It is a constant up keep and very very pricey. They do not hurt. If you get them done at a salon they can braid them into your natural hair and then they dont come out easily. If you are not sure try this it is Jessica Simpson new hair extension line they are clip in and not expensive and you can match to almost any color of hair.Personally I never liked extensions but if it is necessary then try her's it is in some salons before you spend hundreds of dollars.Good luck!!

i've had extensions for over a year, so i know a thing or two about them.

first question] you can only tell their fake if the track {the part you glue/sew down} shows .. but they only show if it's put in improperly, or if you flip your hair a certain obnoxious way.

second question] no, they don't hurt .. but if you're not used to them, they tend to itch a bit. mine get itchy, but it's not bothersome because i've had them forever. when they do itch, try not to itch so much ... instead, kind of "pat" them.

third question] the answer to this can go both ways. if you don't want them to come out, no .. they don't come out easy as long as you hold the root of your hair when you're brushing, %26amp;when you wash them don't put too much shampoo/conditioner directly on the the track. but if you DO want them to come out, yes .. they come out easily. if there are some already loose, just gently pull them out %26amp;they'll come RIGHT out. to the ones that are still in, just get in the shower %26amp;dump tons of conditioner on your roots. that'll loosen 'em like crazy %26amp;make them come right out.

good luck, girl.

pee ess ~ i missed the subject question. hahah. the thing with extensions is you can have a TON of fun with the colour. i have black hair with black/blonde extentions {check out my myspace pictures if you want to get an idea -- myspace.com/shannyyy}. you can put red on black, or black on blonde, or brown on black or black on brown. anything you want. don't ever let anyone tell you that extensions need to be YOUR colour. it's a lie. ;]
